At some point in our lives, each of us will face problems that are emotionally overwhelming and difficult to handle. Making the decision to begin therapy can be very difficult for many people. You may wonder whether the therapist can understand and empathize with your concerns, feelings, thoughts, and actions. For some people, they have feelings of fear and shame about going to someone for help and you might have concerns if therapy can be useful and effective.
In order for therapy to be successful, there needs to be a trusting and collaborative relationship between you and your therapist. My approach to psychotherapy is to create a safe environment through supportive listening and empathy to enable you to talk about patterns in your life that are causing you distress. I offer a non-judgmental and confidential environment so you can talk about your concerns and learn new ways to cope, adapt, and to regain a satisfying and fulfilling life.
I welcome and encourage you to take some time to explore this site to learn more about me, my services, and to obtain additional information regarding mental health and wellness.
